Our Commitment
Sense Solutions is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.
We believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and we are committed to providing a website and platform that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability.
Accessibility Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Released in October 2023, WCAG 2.2 is the current W3C recommendation and includes additional success criteria that improve accessibility for users with cognitive and learning disabilities, low vision, and users on mobile devices.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance means we work to ensure our site:
- Perceivable: Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive
- Operable: User interface components and navigation must be operable, including improved focus appearance and dragging alternatives
- Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable, with consistent help and accessible authentication
- Robust: Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies
Key WCAG 2.2 enhancements we support:
- Enhanced focus indicators (minimum 2px solid outline)
- Accessible authentication without reliance on cognitive tests
- Consistent help placement across pages
- Alternatives for dragging interactions
- Adequate target sizes for touch interactions (minimum 24x24 CSS pixels)
Accessibility Features
Our website and platform include the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard Navigation: All functionality is accessible via keyboard
- Skip Links: Skip to main content links for keyboard users
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus indicators for interactive elements
- Alt Text: Descriptive alt text for images
- Color Contrast: Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Resizable Text: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
- Form Labels: All form fields have associated labels
- Error Identification: Clear error messages and suggestions
- Consistent Navigation: Consistent navigation across pages
- Dark Mode: Optional dark color scheme for reduced eye strain
Known Issues
While we strive for full accessibility, we are aware of some areas that may present challenges:
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these documents.
- Some third-party content embedded on our site may not meet our accessibility standards.
- Complex data tables and charts may be difficult to navigate with screen readers. We provide text alternatives where possible.
We are actively working to address these issues and improve accessibility across our platform.
Assistive Technologies
Our website and platform are designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Screen magnifiers
- Speech recognition software
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Switch devices
We test with the latest versions of these technologies and common web browsers. If you experience issues with a specific assistive technology, please let us know.
